Celebrating 25 Years of Supporting Bermuda’s Counsellors

In May 1995, a group of counsellors, concerned about the lack of protection for professional counsellors in Bermuda, held a meeting at Hamiton Cathedral’s church hall. From this meeting the Bermuda Counsellors Association (BCA) was born and made official in January 1996.

Since that time the BCA has endeavored to enhance the quality of like in society by promoting the development of professional counsellors, advancing the counselling profession, and using the profession and practice of counselling to promote respect for human dignity and diversity.

The current executive board is committed to upholding and expanding the legacy of the Bermuda Counsellors Association, and are forever grateful to those who laid the ground work before us.

Coming Soon

Although Covid-19 has caused everyone to slow down, the BCA board is committed to maintaining and improving our support of Bermuda’s counsellors. We will be sending out monthly newsletters and emails with community resources, career opportunities, and up coming events.

In addition, BCA is working to expand our community reach and utilize the knowledge and talent of our membership to service our community.

We are grateful for the continued support, as we revamp and move into a new vision for the Bermuda Counsellors Association.
